FAVORITE AUDIOBOOKS : (we listen to these on the way to our nature excursions, or sometimes as a family in the living room before bed, with popcorn and tea, while we draw or do crafts)

drawing along to ywam's audiobook on the life of nate saint

  • Anything from Lamplighter Audio Theatre. So far we've listened to Teddy's Button, Sir Knight of the Splendid Way, Sir Malcolm and the Missing Prince, The Captive, and The Unexpected Return. We have just ordered the whole collection, as they have been such wonderful stories, with a strong gospel message (without being overly didactic). Every one of them has made me cry!
  • The YWAM Christian Heroes / Heroes of History collection. We've learned about the life Nate Saint, Louis Zamperini, Corrie Ten Boom, Eric Liddell, and George Mueller so far.
  • Vivaldi's Ring of Mystery from the Classical Kids series
  • Little House on the Prairie. Cherry Jones is a wonderful narrator!
  • The Chronicles of Narnia (radio theatre version)
